It's Diwali and Alka (Bhagyashree), Nandu (Shyamalee Palekar) and Meenu
(Purnima Patwardhan) are running around to buy a fitting gift for their
working mother. Returning from a futile hunt, they find hand-made gifts
from their mother. As they are sitting round glumly, they discover a
mystery gift on their verandah. This sets them off on an a voyage of
discovery where they make new friends, Shanky (Prashant Bhat), his
grandfather Admiral... (Amol Palekar) and his tution teacher (Ashuthosh
Gowarikar). Fights, disagreements, friendships, sacrifice, jealously, first
